This article examines the role of modern teaching methods and educational technologies in teaching English to children aged 7–11. Particular attention is given to communicative language teaching, game-based learning, project-based activities, multimedia resources, digital platforms, songs, storytelling and interactive tasks. The article analyses practical examples of internationally recognized educational resources, including the British Council’s Primary Essentials course and Cambridge English materials for young learners. The study also considers the growing role of digital education in Uzbekistan and the importance of combining technology with age-appropriate pedagogy. The article argues that technology itself does not guarantee effective learning; rather, its effectiveness depends on purposeful teacher mediation, appropriate content, interaction and the developmental needs of children. Recommendations are provided for English teachers working with primary-age learners.
