MODERN METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

This article examines modern methodologies for developing intercultural communicative competence in English language teaching. It explores the theoretical foundations of intercultural communication and its significance in preparing learners for effective interaction in multilingual and multicultural environments. The study analyzes innovative instructional methods, including communicative language teaching, task-based learning, project-based learning, collaborative learning, digital technologies, authentic materials, and virtual intercultural exchanges. Furthermore, it discusses how these approaches enhance learners' linguistic competence, cultural awareness, empathy, critical thinking, and global citizenship. The findings indicate that integrating intercultural communicative competence into English language instruction significantly improves students' communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and readiness for international academic and professional cooperation.
