Abstract

The increasing demand for foreign language proficiency in modern society has contributed to the rapid development of language courses worldwide. Language courses have become an important component of both formal and non-formal education systems, providing learners with opportunities to acquire linguistic and communicative skills in a relatively short period of time. This paper examines the historical development of language courses and analyzes the educational, social, and economic factors that have influenced their establishment. The study highlights the evolution of language courses from traditional grammar-based instruction to communicative and technology-enhanced learning environments. It also discusses the role of language courses in meeting the needs of globalization, lifelong learning, and professional development.
