Abstract

Teaching reading and writing is one of the main objectives of primary education because literacy skills are essential for learners’ academic and personal development. Effective literacy instruction helps children improve vocabulary, communication, comprehension, and critical thinking abilities. This article discusses different methods and strategies used in teaching reading and writing to primary class learners. The study focuses on phonics instruction, guided reading, creative writing activities, interactive classroom techniques, and the use of technology in literacy development. In addition, the article examines common challenges faced by young learners and explains the important role of teachers and parents in supporting literacy acquisition.
