Abstract

Agriculture plays a vital role in the economies of Central Asian countries, contributing significantly to GDP, employment, and food security. Despite the region's arid and semi-arid climate, the agricultural sector remains a key driver of economic stability and rural development. This paper examines the role of agriculture in the economies of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, analyzing its contribution to economic growth, challenges, and future prospects. The study highlights the importance of irrigation, technological advancements, and policy reforms in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region.
