In the modern world, environmental problems such as climate change, water scarcity, air pollution, and the degradation of natural resources have become major challenges for society. Addressing these challenges requires not only scientific knowledge and technological solutions but also environmental awareness, moral responsibility, and sustainable behavior. In this regard, the intellectual and spiritual heritage of Eastern thinkers provides valuable educational opportunities for developing environmental awareness among future teachers. This article examines the educational significance of the ideas of Al-Farabi, Al-Biruni, Ibn Sina, Alisher Navoi, and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in promoting responsible attitudes toward nature. It also discusses the role of higher education institutions in integrating traditional values with modern environmental education through interactive teaching methods, independent research, and practical environmental activities. The article emphasizes that future teachers should develop both personal environmental responsibility and the professional competence required to educate younger generations about environmental protection.
