Abstract

Adolescence is a critical period characterized by significant emotional, social, and psychological changes. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of family support in teenagers’ personal development and to understand how it influences their self-esteem, behavior, and overall well-being. The study applies a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collected through a questionnaire and situational tasks conducted among secondary school students. The findings suggest that strong family support positively influences teenagers’ confidence, emotional stability, and ability to cope with challenges. Adolescents who receive consistent emotional and moral support from their families demonstrate better social adaptation and higher motivation. In conclusion, family support plays a crucial role in promoting healthy personal development during adolescence and should be considered an essential factor in teenagers’ lives.
