Abstract

Digital transformation has emerged as a central force in modern education. In English language teaching, technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual learning platforms, online assessment tools, and mobile applications have introduced novel methods of instruction and interaction. This study explores the role of digital transformation in English language teaching and examines its effectiveness in improving students’ linguistic competence, engagement, and motivation. The research employs qualitative analysis of literature, observation of digital learning platforms, and comparative evaluation of traditional versus technology-enhanced instruction. The findings indicate that digital technologies significantly enhance interactive learning, provide flexible and individualized educational opportunities, and facilitate authentic language use. Challenges including limited digital literacy, technical barriers, and academic ethics are identified as areas requiring careful management. The study concludes that careful, pedagogically informed integration of digital technologies can maximize benefits for both students and educators.
