SENTENCE-LEVEL ANALYSIS OF SLAND CONSTRUCTIONS IN UZBEK AND ENGLISH

This article presents a comparative linguistic analysis of slang constructions at the sentence level in Uzbek and English. The study examines the syntactic structure of slang units, their functional roles within sentences, and their context-dependent pragmatic meanings. The paper highlights the role of slang in enhancing expressiveness, informality, and communicative effectiveness. Particular attention is paid to sentence reduction, ellipsis, and transformational processes involving slang constructions. The findings contribute to the theoretical and practical advancement of pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and contrastive linguistics.
