Abstract

Developing speaking skills is a fundamental goal in English language learning, as oral communication is one of the most practical indicators of proficiency. Learners often face challenges such as limited vocabulary, lack of confidence, and insufficient exposure to authentic communication. This paper explores effective strategies for enhancing speaking skills, including task-based learning, role plays, discussions, and the integration of technology. It also emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive classroom environment that reduces anxiety and motivates learners to practice speaking actively. Special attention is given to balancing fluency and accuracy, as both are crucial for communicative competence. Practical recommendations are provided for teachers to design learner-centered activities that foster speaking development.
