REFORMS IN THE IRANIAN POLITICAL SYSTEM DURING HASHEMI RAFSANJANI'S PRESIDENCY

The article examines the introduction of a new theocratic governance system as a result of the Islamic Revolution and the processes of transforming the country's domestic and foreign policy. Additionally, it analyzes the pragmatic political directions, economic reforms, societal liberalization, and initiatives aimed at strengthening presidential power during Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's presidency from 1989 to 1997.
