Ushbu maqolada Quyosh tizimidan tashqarida joylashgan ekzoplanetalarni kashf etish tarixi, ularning turlari va ushbu uzoq dunyolarda hayot mavjudligi ehtimoli zamonaviy astrofizika nuqtai nazaridan tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotda hayotning rivojlanishi uchun eng muhim omillar — yulduzlarning yashash zonasi (Goldilocks zonasi), sayyoralarning qattiq sirtga egaligi hamda atmosferadagi suv bug‘i, metan kabi biosignaturalarning o‘rni yoritilgan. Shuningdek, Jeyms Uebb (JWST) kabi zamonaviy kosmik teleskoplar yordamida olingan so‘nggi ma’lumotlar va koinotda biologik hayot izlarini topish istiqbollari muhokama qilinadi.
