Abstract

Distance learning has become an essential part of higher education, providing students with greater flexibility and accessibility. This paper explores the role of distance learning in modern universities and colleges, highlighting its advantages and challenges. While online education offers opportunities for self-paced learning, global collaboration, and cost-effectiveness, it also presents difficulties such as limited student engagement, technical barriers, and the need for self-discipline. The study concludes that distance learning, when effectively integrated with traditional teaching methods, can enhance higher education by making it more inclusive and adaptable to the digital age.
