Abstract

The English Middle Ages covers, historically, the period from the 12th to the 15th century. This period was an important one for the development and transformation of the English language, and it included a number of social, political and cultural changes. Middle English, along with its structural and lexical aspects, has its own characteristics, reflecting important stages in the formation and development of the English language during this period. This article provides information about the Middle Ages and its characteristics.
