Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical opportunities of collaborative learning technologies for developing the communicative competence of primary school students. In the modern education system, developing students’ abilities to communicate effectively, work in teams, express their opinions freely and reasonably, and respect the opinions of others is considered one of the priority tasks. From this perspective, collaborative learning contributes to developing students not merely as recipients of ready-made knowledge, but as active participants who construct knowledge through cooperation. The article examines the theoretical foundations of collaborative learning and analyzes its role in developing communicative competence based on scientific sources. It also substantiates the effectiveness of such methods as small-group work, pair activities, joint problem-solving, discussions, debates, and project-based activities in primary education. The research findings confirm that purposeful and systematic use of collaborative learning technologies has a positive impact on students’ speech activity, communication culture, cooperation skills, and social adaptation.
