Abstract

This article examines the development of Sufism and Sufi orders in the Emirate of Bukhara and analyzes their role in the religious, social, and political life of society. Particular attention is paid to the position of the Naqshbandi order during the Emirate period, the activities of Sufi centers, khanqahs, and pilgrimage sites, as well as their influence on the spiritual life of the population. Furthermore, the study investigates the characteristics of Sufism in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and evaluates its historical significance based on scholarly sources.
