This article explores the role of motivation in online language learning and its influence on students’ engagement, participation, and academic achievement. The study examines the psychological and educational factors that shape learners’ motivation in virtual classrooms, where independent learning and digital interaction are essential. Drawing on modern pedagogical approaches and recent studies, the paper discusses strategies for increasing learner motivation through interactive activities, teacher support, collaborative learning, and technology integration. The findings demonstrate that maintaining high levels of motivation contributes significantly to successful language acquisition and learner autonomy in online education
