Abstract

this article discusses the main devices used to express emphasis in English discourse, namely parallelism, inversion, and rhetorical questions. The study highlights their role in strengthening meaning and influencing the audience. Examples from literary texts and public speeches are provided to demonstrate their function. The research shows that these devices play an important role in shaping expressive and effective discourse.
