This article examines the functional and pragmatic features of phonological devices in English discourse. The study focuses on the role of phonological elements such as alliteration, assonance, consonance, rhythm, stress, and intonation in enhancing semantic depth and emotional expressiveness. Particular attention is paid to the use of these devices in literary and publicistic texts, where they contribute to meaning construction and communicative effectiveness. The findings demonstrate that phonological devices serve not only aesthetic purposes but also play a crucial role in shaping the pragmatic structure of discourse and influencing the listener or reader.
