This article examines the functional pragmatic aspects of phraseological intensifiers used in modern English. Phraseological intensifiers are phraseological units that increase the expressive and spiritual richness of the language and are used to have a certain effect in communication. The article analyzes the communicative functions of such units, how they are used depending on the context, and what role they play in different social contexts. The role of phraseological intensifiers in the fields of linguistics, psycholinguistics and pragmatics is also considered.
