Abstract

This paper explores how gender is represented through language in contemporary English media discourse. It examines the use of gendered expressions in news, advertising, and social media, highlighting how linguistic choices reflect and perpetuate social attitudes towards gender roles. Emphasis is placed on identifying both explicit and implicit gender bias and how modern discourse analysis tools are employed to uncover these patterns. The study also evaluates the impact of media discourse on audience perceptions of gender norms.
