Abstract

This paper explores the challenges of terminology translation in specialized fields such as medicine, law, and technology. Terminology is crucial in these fields, as precise translation is necessary for conveying accurate information. Due to the specialized nature of these fields, terminological equivalence often proves challenging, as concepts in one language may not have direct equivalents in another. This study delves into the complexities of translating specialized terms, examining common issues such as ambiguity, misinterpretation, and the lack of one-to-one equivalents. Through a review of relevant literature and the analysis of specific translation cases, the paper highlights strategies that translators employ to achieve accuracy and maintain clarity in their translations. The study also evaluates the role of context, cultural factors, and professional standards in ensuring the quality of translations in these fields.
