Abstract

Translating homonyms between English and Uzbek provides distinct issues due to the inherent ambiguity of terms with similar spelling or pronunciation but different meanings. Both languages have homonyms, but their frequency, structure, and usage can vary greatly, potentially leading to misconceptions in translation. This study investigates the problems of translating homonyms between English and Uzbek, focussing on the language and cultural variables that contribute to these challenges. The study's comparative research and case studies aim to provide light on effective translation procedures for navigating these linguistic complexities.
