Abstract

In the modern educational era, digital technologies have become both essential learning tools and major sources of distraction. This article explores how digital distraction affects students’ ability to focus in English language learning environments. Based on a review of recent academic literature, the study highlights that while digital tools enhance accessibility and engagement, uncontrolled use of mobile devices and social media negatively impacts attention span, motivation, and academic performance. The article emphasizes the need for balanced integration of technology in education.
