Smartphones have become an essential part of modern students’ lives. These devices provide easy access to information, communication, and educational resources. However, excessive smartphone use can also cause distractions and negatively affect academic performance. This study examines the role of smartphones in students’ lives, focusing on both their advantages and disadvantages. A qualitative approach was used by reviewing academic sources and observing student learning behavior. The findings show that smartphones can support learning through educational applications and online resources, but they may also lead to decreased concentration and time management problems. The study suggests that students should use smartphones responsibly to maximize their educational benefits.
