Abstract

This article examines the growing issue of social media addiction among youngsters, focusing on its psychological, academic, and social consequences. It provides an overview of the background factors contributing to addiction, including technological developments, peer influence, and emotional vulnerability. The paper also discusses potential solutions such as digital literacy, time-management strategies, and family involvement. Finally, several recommendations are offered for educators, parents, policymakers, and youths themselves to reduce dependency on social media.
