Abstract

Teaching English to young learners is a crucial step in fostering their cognitive, social, and linguistic development. This study examines the use of interactive teaching strategies, such as storytelling, songs, and games, to enhance language acquisition and classroom engagement among children aged 6–8 years. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study evaluates how these techniques impact vocabulary retention and motivation. Results indicate that interactive methods are effective, with games demonstrating the greatest influence on both vocabulary acquisition and engagement. The paper provides practical guidance for educators, emphasizing the importance of integrating interactive approaches tailored to young learners' needs.
