Abstract

The rapid expansion of private higher education institutions has significantly transformed the higher education landscape of Uzbekistan. Increasing competition among universities requires private institutions not only to expand educational opportunities but also to ensure high-quality academic services and improve student experiences. In this context, educational service quality and student satisfaction have become important factors influencing institutional competitiveness and long-term sustainability.

This conceptual study examines the relationship between educational service quality, student satisfaction, and competitiveness of private higher education institutions. Based on previous theoretical and empirical studies, the research analyzes how dimensions of educational service quality, including academic support, administrative services, infrastructure, digital learning environments, and institutional responsiveness, contribute to students’ perceptions of university performance. The study highlights that student satisfaction represents not only an indicator of educational quality but also a strategic factor affecting institutional reputation, student loyalty, and competitive advantage.

The findings from the literature suggest that private universities seeking sustainable development should adopt a student-centered approach, strengthen quality assurance mechanisms, and continuously improve educational services according to students’ expectations. The study provides theoretical implications for higher education management and practical recommendations for private universities in Uzbekistan.
