Abstract

This article explores the theoretical interpretation of nature-related lexicon in English and Uzbek literary texts from a linguistic and comparative perspective. The study aims to analyze the semantic structure, stylistic functions, and discursive roles of lexical units associated with nature in artistic discourse. Using a comparative-linguistic approach, the research identifies both universal and culture-specific characteristics of nature-related vocabulary shaped by national mentality, cultural traditions, and aesthetic principles. The findings indicate that nature-related lexicon in literary texts functions not merely as a descriptive tool but as a conceptual and expressive means that contributes to meaning construction, emotional depth, and narrative coherence. The article also highlights the relevance of nature lexicon in developing linguistic and communicative competence, particularly in literary analysis and language education.
